Just a quick glance at this page looked really useful. I checked out the blog associated with it, called (I think) "Jane's picks", and read about a variety of interesting tools. I was reminded about a possibility for integrating assessments with the online activities -- a topic that came up in the workshop, but which we didn't really find a way to address. There are online tools to create quizzes that can be embedded in a blog. If students were going to take the quiz by giving their answers as comments, I guess you'd have to hide the comments so that other students couldn't see previous answers. Hmmm.
